The San Diego Convention Center
San Diego is not only a natural beauty, it's also one of the most vibrant cities in the US and the Convention Center is at the heart of all the action. The SDCC is located centrally on San Diego Bay and is just a short stroll away from an exciting array of sidewalk cafes, specialty shops, art galleries and clubs in the historical Gaslamp District, thousands of hotel rooms, gorgeous waterfront parks, some of the finest restaurants in Southern California, the dynamic new San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum and PETCO Park, the San Diego Padres' fabulous new downtown ballpark.
Downtown transportation is both convenient and stylish with horsedrawn carriages, the San Diego Trolley and the Coronado Ferry. The Trolley, San Diego's light rail system, links downtown, Old Town and Mission Valley to the Convention Center.
The facility boasts 2.6 million gross square feet and features 615,701 square feet of exhibit space; 204,114 square feet of meeting space including two 40,000-square-foot ballrooms; 284,494 square feet of prefunction, lobby and registration areas; and 184,514 square feet of outdoor terrace space.
The building's architectural centerpiece, the 90,000-square-foot Sails Pavilion, is glass-enclosed and has been significantly enhanced with an industry standard trade show floor, state-of-the-art lighting and a cooling and heating system for maximum
comfort year-round. With incredible views of the city and bay, the column free space is perfect for a variety of events from trade shows to receptions and gala events.
