The Seren process involves a combination of nano-science and fundamental physics that greatly increases the efficiency at which an LED converts energy into light. The technology is a revolutionary new concept in white HB LED design, combining mass manufactured blue HB LED structures and nano-science to deliver a white HB LED with superior performance compared to current state-of-the-art.

Seren's revolutionary technique has been shown in tests to greatly increase the efficiency at which a high brightness (HB) LED converts an applied voltage into light and significantly reduces heat generation under normal running conditions. Successful demonstrations of the patented technology have resulted in a significant increase of the light output, 80% to 120%, compared to untreated devices. To the manufacturer this results in either a much brighter LED lamp, or significantly reduced power consumption for items such as back lighting (laptops and TVs), signs and displays, as well as, architectural and street lighting.
